‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ to Stream on Max with ASL Option

The latest installment in Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures ‘Monsterverse’ franchise will make its streaming debut on July 4.

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire will make its streaming debut on Max July 4. A version of the film with American Sign Language (ASL) will also stream exclusively on Max the same day. This ASL version of the film was produced exclusively for Max, with ASL performer Otis Jones (Deaf West Theatre) providing interpretation.

The film is an explosive, action-packed adventure that follows Kong’s journey to find his family through an undiscovered layer of Hollow Earth. What he uncovers inadvertently brings forth the most dangerous threat to mankind yet... one that can only be countered by the combined forces of Kong and Godzilla, now evolved like never before.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is directed by Adam Wingard from a script by Terry Rossio, Simon Barrett, and Jeremy Slater, from a story by Rossio & Wingard & Barrett, based on the character “Godzilla” owned and created by TOHO Co., Ltd. The film stars Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Dan Stevens, Kaylee Hottle, Alex Ferns and Fala Chen.

The film is produced by Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Eric Mcleod, Thomas Tull and Brian Rogers. Wingard, Jen Conroy, Jay Ashenfelter, Yoshimitsu Banno, and Kenji Okuhira executive produce. The monstrous VFX are created by DNEG, Luma Pictures, Scanline VFX, The Third Floor, and Weta FX.
