Rodeo FX Names Joseph Kasparian Exec VFX Supervisor

The Emmy Award-winning visual effects veteran will help oversee the company’s team of VFX supervisors while promoting ongoing studio growth.

Rodeo FX recently named Emmy winner Joseph Kasparian as executive visual effects supervisor. The 27-year industry veteran’s achievements include contributions to projects such as Jurassic World, Warcraft, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. In his new role, he will help oversee the company’s VFX supervisors and support the studio’s ongoing growth plans.

Kasparian previously served at Hybride as creative VP, where he collaborated on all Star Wars movies and series beginning in 2015. He won an Emmy in 2021 for his work on The Mandalorian Season 2 with Lucasfilm, and more recently received an Emmy nomination for Andor Season 1.

“Constantly reinventing yourself is essential due to the evolution of technology,” said Kasparian. “I've always been forward-thinking, looking ahead to what's next. Rodeo feels like a natural progression for me. It goes beyond visual effects, it’s about entertainment as a whole and how I can share the craft and the knowledge I’ve developed these past 25+ years with incredible people.”

Kasparian joins Emmy-nominated and VES-winner Ara Khanikian in overseeing the company's team of 16 VFX supervisors. Together, they will support CEO Sebastien Moreau and VP of Development & Innovation Jordan Soles in promoting the studio's ongoing growth.

The studio has recently completed several high-profile projects, including Masters of the Air, Dune: Part 2, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, and House of the Dragon Season 2.

“This marks a pivotal moment for Rodeo FX,” commented Moreau. “In welcoming Joseph, a recognized figure in the industry, we are also bringing in a unique blend of energy, enthusiasm, and expertise that perfectly aligns with our company's aspirations and commitment to high-end visual effects. Joseph's vision is closely aligned with mine, and I'm confident he will play a key role in supporting our continued growth.”
