Exclusive: Apple TV+’s ‘WondLa’ ‘Take a New Ride for a Ride’ Clip

Skydance Animation’s new 3DCG adventure follows Eva, a curious, enthusiastic, and spirited teenager who has been raised in an underground bunker by her robot caretaker; all 7 Season 1 episodes premiere June 28.

Ahead of June 28’s seven-episode Season 1 premiere of Skydance Animation’s new animated trilogy WondLa, Apple TV+ has shared an exclusive clip (below) with AWN. The 3DCG adventure, based on the New York Times bestselling book series “The Search for WondLa” by Tony DiTerlizzi, follows Eva, a curious, enthusiastic, and spirited teenager who has been raised in an underground bunker by her robot caretaker.

Jeanine Mason (Roswell, New Mexico) voices Eva, with Teri Hatcher (Desperate Housewives) as Muthr, the robot caretaker. In the series, on Eva’s 16th birthday, an attack on her bunker forces her onto the Earth’s surface, which is now inhabited by aliens and covered with other-worldly fauna, with no other humans to be found. In fact, it’s no longer called Earth but Orbona. Otto, a loveable giant water bear with whom Eva shares telepathic powers (voiced by Brad Garrett: Everybody Loves Raymond), and Rovender, a cantankerous alien with a troubled past (voiced by Gary Anthony Williams: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Out of the Shadows) join Eva as she leads the team on a dangerous quest to find humans, her home, and her true destiny.

In our exclusive clip, Eva takes her new ride… for a ride, with the top down and the music blasting:

Bobs Gannaway serves as showrunner and executive producer. The show also features the voices of Chiké Okonkwo (The Birth of a Nation, La Brea) as Besteel; D.C. Douglas (Sharknado 2: The Second One, Black Ops) as Omnipod; and Alan Tudyk (Resident Alien) as Cadmus Pryde.

Executive producers include DiTerlizzi and Gannaway alongside Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell, Julie Kane-Ritsch, and Skydance Animation’s John Lasseter, David Ellison, and Dana Goldberg. Tony Cosanella also produces.
