Sony Pictures Entertainment continues the home entertainment rollout of the next chapter of the Spider-Verse saga with Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, coming on 4K UHD & Blu-ray September 5. To celebrate, Sony has shared with AWN a peek behind the curtain in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse - Creating the Ultimate Spider-Man Movie, which you can watch below.

In the movie, after reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters the Spider Society, a team of Spider-People charged with protecting the Multiverse’s very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must set out on his own to save those he loves most. Anyone can wear the mask – it’s how you wear it that makes you a hero.

In Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse - Creating the Ultimate Spider-Man Movie, executive producer Bob Persichetti, supervising animators Chelsea Gordon-Ratzlaff and Daniel Pozo, animator Dan Mao, and head of character animation Alan Hawkins share the cool things they did to bring life to the film’s characters:

The film stars Shameik Moore; Hailee Steinfeld; Jake Johnson; Issa Rae; Daniel Kaluuya; Karan Soni; Jason Schwartzman; Brian Tyree Henry; Luna Lauren Velez; Greta Lee; Rachel Dratch; Jorma Taccone; Shea Whigham; and Oscar Isaac.

Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson co-direct the film, which is written by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and David Callaham. Avi Arad, Amy Pascal, Lord, Miller, and Christina Steinberg are producing. Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, Rodney Rothman, Aditya Sood, Rebecca Karch, and Brian Bendis executive produce.
