The Baroque Works are coming for Luff and crew; Daniel Lasker joins the cast as Mr. 9 alongside Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, and David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3.
Netflix’s One Piece has found its Season 2 villains – the Baroque Works! Daniel Lasker (Raise by Wolves) joins the cast as Mr. 9 alongside Camrus Johnson (Batwoman) as Mr. 5; Jazzara Jaslyn (Warrior) as Miss Valentine; and David Dastmalchian (Late Night With the Devil) as Mr. 3. Each character is pulled directly from Eiichiro Oda’s original manga.
The newcomers join the established Season 1 crew, including Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy; Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro; Emily Rudd as Nami; Jacob Romero as Usopp; and Taz Skylar as Sanji.
One Piece is a legendary high-seas tale unlike any other. Monkey D. Luffy is a young adventurer who has longed for a life of freedom for as long as he can remember. Luffy sets off from his small village on a perilous journey to find the legendary fabled treasure, One Piece, to become King of the Pirates! But to find the ultimate prize, Luffy must assemble the crew he’s always wanted before finding a ship to sail, searching every inch of the vast blue seas, outpacing the Marines, and outwitting dangerous rivals at every turn.
The live-action pirate adventure is created in partnership with Shueisha and produced by Tomorrow Studios and Netflix. Matt Owens and Steven Maeda are writers, executive producers, and showrunners. Oda, Marty Adelstein, and Becky Clements also executive produce.
For Season 1, Victor Scalise serves as production VFX supervisor; Scott Ramsey serves as VFX producer, with VFX handled by Barnstorm VFX, CoSA VFX, Eyeline Studios, Framestore, Goodbye Kansas Studios, Incessant Rain, Ingenuity Studios, NetFX, Refuge, Rising Sun Pictures, and Scanline VFX.
