Netflix just shared teaser art and images for Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie, which follows Sandy Cheeks and SpongeBob SquarePants’ journey to Texas to save their town from a villainous plot. Based on the ever-popular SpongeBob SquarePants series by Stephen Hillenburg, the 3DCG animated movie streams August 2.
The film is directed by Liza Johnson, with Marc Ceccarelli and Vincent Waller serving as executive producers. The teleplay is by Kaz and Tom Stern, based on a story by Kaz. The movie stars the voices of Carolyn Lawrence; Tom Kenny; Wanda Sykes; Clancy Brown; Bill Fagerbakke; Mr. Lawrence; Rodger Bumpass; Johnny Knoxville; Craig Robinson; Grey Delisle; Ilia Isorelýs Paulino; and Matty Cardarople.
