Animation’s premier festival now accepting submissions in multiple categories, including short films, TV films, commissioned films, graduation films, feature films and VR works; registration dates for Mifa Pitch Sessions are coming next month.
The Annecy International Animation Festival 2024 is now accepting films for its official competition selection; the event’s next edition runs June 9-15, 2024. The world-famous event features exclusive presentations of the latest animated works and demonstrations of the latest techniques, future trends, and best work in process. The festival is now accepting film submissions in the following categories:
Important Dates and Times (all times are French – CEST):
- Short Films, Graduation Films, TV Films, and Commissioned Films: Submission deadline is February 15, 2024, at 11:59 pm
- Feature Films: Submission deadline is March 15, 2024, at 11:59 pm
- VR Works: Submission deadline is March 31, 2024, at 11:59 pm

For films still in the project stage, the Mifa Pitch Sessions provide an opportunity to present animation projects to an audience of potential partners and financial backers. Registration dates open mid-November. Check out the program’s page here.
