'Chicken for Linda!’ and ‘27’ Take Top Awards at Annecy 2023

Films by Chiara Malta & Sebastien Laudenbach and Flóra Anna Buda among 22 winners at the jam packed 47th festival edition that saw a record 15,820 accredited attendees (a 19% increase on 2022) from 102 countries.

The 2023 edition of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and Mifa, expanded this year to seven full days of non-stop activities, ended this evening, the biggest in event history, with 15,820 badge holders from 102 countries descending on the beautiful lakeside town of Annecy for a week dedicated to everything animation.

Mickaël Marin, CEO of CITIA, the festival organizer, shared, "More than ever, Annecy deserves its status as world capital of animation film. This new attendance record symbolizes the acknowledgement and trust of industry professionals. It is a community that couldn’t imagine missing this gathering and who showed their commitment, a few days after the events that shook our city.
