Nominations Announced for 2024 BAFTA Awards

‘The Boy and The Heron,’ ‘Chicken Run: Dawn of The Nugget,’ ‘Elemental,’ and ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ get the nod for Animated Film with ‘The Creator,’ ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,’ ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part,’ ‘Napoleon,’ and ‘Poor Things’ selected for Special Visual Effects. 

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced the 2024 EE British Academy Film Awards nominations, with winners being announced at the awards ceremony, hosted by David Tennant, on Sunday, February 18, at London’s Royal Festival Hall.

Four features were nominated this year for Animated Film: The Boy and The Heron, Chicken Run: Dawn of The Nugget, Elemental, and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

The nominees in the Special Visual Effects category are The Creator, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part, Napoleon, and Poor Things.

Poor Things received 11 nominations overall, including Best Film, Outstanding British Film, Special Visual Effects, and Production Design.
