Multiple ‘Everybody Hates Chris’ Actors to Reprise Roles in Animated Series

Chris Rock, Terry Crews, and Tichina Arnold will return for the reimagined version of Rock's popular award-winning series, coming to Comedy Central later this year. 

Chris Rock, Terry Crews, and Tichina Arnold will reprise their former Everybody Hates Chris roles in the upcoming reimagined animated version, Everybody Still Hates Chris, Variety reports.

The half-hour animated series was first greenlit in August 2022. It features Rock, who narrates stories inspired by his experiences growing up in a large working-class family in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, during the late 1980s. Crews and Arnold return as Chris’ parents, Julius and Rochelle.

Newcomers to the franchise include Tim Johnson Jr. as young Chris; Ozioma Akagha as Tonya, Chris’ baby sister; Terrence Little Gardenhigh as Drew, the golden child of the family; and Gunnar Sizemore as Greg, Chris’ only friend.

Everybody Hates Chris won an NAACP Image Award for its writing in 2007 and was nominated for a Golden Globe and several Emmy Awards.

Rock executive produces with Sanjay Shah (King of the HillSouth ParkCentral Park), who will also serve as showrunner, and Ali LeRoi, Michael Rotenberg, and Dave Becky. CBS Studios and 3 Arts Entertainment produce the series.

Everybody Still Hates Chris premieres on Comedy Central later this year, and streams on Paramount+ at a later date.
