Clifford Wins A Cine Golden Eagle Award

Scholastic Productions' CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG has been awarded the Spring 2001 CINE Golden Eagle Award in the animation category. The series was honored for a two-part episode "To Catch A Bird/Best Party Ever" -- on the themes of having faith in friends and reaching out to those who have hurt you. The winning episodes were animated by Mike Young Productions. "We're delighted that the CINE jurors have chosen CLIFFORD to receive this award, especially since it reflects a wonderful endorsement by our peers in film and television," said Deborah Forte, executive producer of the series, and an executive vice president of Scholastic Inc. "We have worked hard to bring CLIFFORD'S stories to life and this endorsement is a celebration of the excellence we've achieved. To be awarded a CINE Golden Eagle Award is a great honor." The show is based on Scholastic's best-selling book series written and illustrated by Norman Bridwell.
