Getting Buzzed - Hear the Call of the Wolfman

The second trailer just builds the buzz for The Wolfman's spring release.

It was a light week for trailer buzz. THE WOLFMAN was the biggest thing to hit the Net, unless you count the bootleg versions of the new three minute-plus AVATAR trailer, which was gone in 60 seconds. Other than the big spring horror flick, there were a few of interesting indie pics to consider.

Getting Buzzed
5) The Wedding Song (Oct. 23, 2009)
Trailer
Set at the dawn of WWII, two friends, one Jewish and one Muslim, find themselves jealous of each other's lives. Nour is put into an arranged marriage with her handsome and passionate cousin, while Myrian has a chance to go to school. Their friendship is tested as the political winds change. Sounds like a promising premise.

4) Humble Pie (TBA)
Trailer
Writer Hubbel Palmer stars in this indie comedy about a 400 lbs. grocery store assistant manager who finds a new lease on life through acting. Co-stars William Baldwin and Mary Lynn Rajskub from 24. Looks funny.

3) Endgame (Nov. 6, 2009)
Trailer
This true story looks at the behind the scene negotiations that took place between Thabo Mbeki, played by the always wonderful Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Prof. Will Esterhuyse, played by Oscar-winner William Hurt, to end Apartheid in South Africa. The meetings took place in a rural English manor, were arranged by a British businessman and sponsored by a mining company. Looks promising.

2) That Evening Sun (Nov. 6, 2009)
Trailer
Hal Holbrook was so impressive in INTO THE WILD. The 84-year-old was at the top of his game and now he's getting rave reviews again for his performance in this Southern gothic tale. He plays a man who leaves his retirement home to find that his son has sold it to a poor family. In tone it reminds me of the underrated gem SHOTGUN STORIES and David Gordon Green's UNDERTOW.

1) The Wolfman (Feb. 12, 2010)
Trailer
I love the original WOLFMAN. This second trailer for the remake has me very eager for the 2010 movie season to begin.
