Dear filmmakers, dear friends of the Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film,
the 25th Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film is going to take place from April 24 to 29, 2018, and is one of the most outstanding events for animated film worldwide. Would you like to be a part of it and show your film to an international audience?
Animated films produced after October 1, 2016 can be now submitted to the following competition categories:
- International Competition (International short film competition)
- Young Animation (International student film competition)
- Tricks for Kids – shorts and series (International competition for short films and TV series for children)
- AniMovie (International feature-length film competition)
Submission deadline: December 1, 2017
In addition, the submitted films can be nominated for the Amazon Audience Award in the short film competitions. Information on the regulations and registration:

The Festival offers filmmakers, directors and production companies a professional platform to show their films to a wide audience as well as to professional visitors. Animation film fans of all ages have the opportunity to admire animated short and feature-length films, series and transmedia projects for six days. The Festival presents a full, up-to-date spectrum of animated filmmaking and its intersections with visual effects, architecture, art, design, music and games.
