Netflix has dropped the first teaser for Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver, the action-packed finale of his two-part space opera.
Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire released last week on December 21, and quickly became a top-watched movie on the streamer. The film follows Kora (Sofia Boutella), a stranger who begins a new life among a peaceful settlement of farmers. When the tyrannical Regent Balisarius (Fra Fee) and his cruel emissary, Admiral Noble (Ed Skrein), discover the farmers have unwittingly sold their crops to the Bloodaxes (Cleopatra Coleman and Ray Fisher), Kora and Gunnar (Michiel Huisman), a tenderhearted farmer, journey to different worlds to assemble a small band of warriors to defend themselves.
The Scargiver continues the epic saga of Kora and the surviving warriors (no spoilers!) as they prepare to sacrifice everything, fighting alongside the brave people of Veldt, to defend a once peaceful village. On the eve of their battle the warriors must face the truths of their own pasts, each revealing why they fight. As the full force of the Realm bears down on the burgeoning rebellion, unbreakable bonds are forged, heroes emerge, and legends are made.
Snyder directs from his script co-written with Kurt Johnstad and Shay Hatten. Bergen Swanson, Sarah Bowen, Hatten, and Johnstad executive produce, while Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Eric Newman, and Wesley Coller produce.
The otherworldly VFX are created by Day for Nite, Framestore, Luma Pictures, Mammal Studios, Opsis, Scanline VFX, and Weta FX, with Bryan Litson serving as visual effects supervisor. Farhad Mohasseb serves as visual effects supervisor for Luma Pictures, and Gregory D. Liegey serves as visual effects supervisor for Mammal Studios.
