Sony Drops ‘The Garfield Movie’ Official Music Video ‘Let It Roll’

Watch the new short, as Keith Urban and Snoop Dogg let it roll… and let it ride in their ode to the Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat; the animated comedy pounces into theaters May 24.

Sony Pictures just dropped a new music video for The Garfield Movie, premiering in theaters May 24. I don’t know if the famed lasagna-loving cat (voiced by Chris Pratt) can sing, but Keith Urban and Snoop Dogg can and do in "Let It Roll." Check it out below!

The world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat is back for a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) – Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.

The all-star cast also includes Hannah Waddingham, Ving Rhames, Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, Harvey Guillén, Brett Goldstein, and Bowen Yang.

Although the franchise has remained popular since it first appeared in newspaper comic sections in 1978, Garfield only touts two live action/CGI feature films, and the franchise has remained off the big screen since the second film, A Tale of Two Kitties, premiered in 2006. The upcoming Alcon Entertainment offering will be the first fully animated theatrical project starring the lasagna-obsessed kitty.

Mark Dindal directs from a screenplay by Paul A. Kaplan & Mark Torgove, and David Reynolds. “Garfield” comic strip creator Jim Davis serves as an executive producer on the film alongside Bridget McMeel, David Reynolds, Scott Parish, Carl Rogers, Simon Hedges, Chris Pflug, Louis Koo, Steve Sarowitz, Justin Baldwin, and Peter Luo. John Cohen (Despicable Me) and Steven P. Wegner (Dolphin Tale 2) produce along with Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson. The animation is produced by DNEG Animation, with CEO Namit Malhotra and President Tom Jacomb serving as producers.

From Columbia Pictures and Alcon Entertainment, the film pounces into theaters May 24, 2024.
