Retinize Ltd Launches Animotive VR Tool for 3D Animation

The immersive, real-time solution is compatible with Unity, Unreal and other industry standard software – allows remote creative collaboration through VR.

European creative tech company Retinize Ltd has launched Animotive, an immersive real-time animation tool that enables remote collaboration of 3D production creatives through VR. Now available on PC, the software received the “Best Innovation in Animation” award at the Irish Animation Awards 2023. The flexible platform allows users to import custom-built characters, props, and sets, and when the scene is ready, users can embody the characters and perform, light, shoot, and export in just a few clicks.

Animotive offers 3D animation creators a user-friendly turn-key VR solution, an efficient and affordable option compared to traditional workflows. Users with a PC VR headset and a VR-ready PC can download the software for free. Pro subscriptions are also available – learn more here.

Moonbug Entertainment, known for brands including CoComelon and Blippi, is currently trialing Animotive on some of its IP.

“With Animotive, creatives are able to work together from anywhere to produce quality, professional 3D animated content in a matter of minutes, not months,” said Retinize CEO Phil Morrow. "The cost savings are significant and immediate, enabling student animators, veteran studios, and anyone in between to create from the comfort of their VR headsets.”

Animotive allows users to change their performances, lights, cameras, sets, and props. The platform is compatible with game engines like Unity and Unreal and industry-standard animation software, allowing users to design, refine, and enhance their projects throughout production.
