Paramount+ Reveals Teaser Trailer, Premiere Date for ‘Halo’ Season 2

The series, which follows Pablo Schreiber’s Master Chief as he leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant, returns to the streamer on February 8.

They will be remembered. Paramount+ has dropped the official first look teaser for Halo Season 2, which premieres February 8 exclusively on Paramount+

In the series, Master Chief John-117 leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. As humanity’s best hope for winning the war, John-117 discovers his deep connection to a mysterious alien structure that holds the key to humankind’s salvation, or its destruction — the Halo.

Jospeh Morgan joins the new season as James Ackerson, described as “a formidable intelligence operative who has spent his career climbing the ranks of the UNSC’s secretive Office of Naval Intelligence.” Cristina Rodlo also joins the show in the role of Talia Perez, “a corporal specializing in linguistics for a UNSC Marine Corps communications unit and a relatively new recruit who has yet to see any real combat.”

Pablo Schreiber returns as Master Chief alongside series regulars Natascha McElhone, Jen Taylor, Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Yerin Ha, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy, Charlie Murphy, Danny Sapani, Fiona O’Shaughnessy, and Tylan Bailey.

The visual effects for Season 1 were crafted by Cinesite (VFX supervisor Sean Stranks), Mr. X (VFX supervisor Craig Calvert), MPC Episodic, Pixomondo, Rocket Science VFX (VFX supervisor Greg Behrens), and Rodeo FX. Waiting to hear on Season 2.

The show is produced by Showtime, Halo video game developer 343 Industries, and Amblin Television. Steven Kane executive produces alongside Steven Spielberg, Darryl Frank, and Justin Falvey for Amblin. Otto Bathurst and Toby Leslie executive produce for One Big Picture, with Bathurst directing several episodes; Kyle Killen and Scott Pennington executive produce for Chapter Eleven; Kiki Wolfkill, Frank O’Connor, and Bonnie Ross serve as executive producers for 343 Industries. The series is distributed internationally by ViacomCBS Global Distribution Group.

The first two episodes of Halo Season 2 drop on February 8, with new episodes dropping weekly thereafter only on Paramount+. All 10 episodes of Season 1 stream now.
