‘The Last of Us’ Scores Big at The Creative Arts Emmys

This past Saturday and Sunday, the Television Academy honored artistic and technical achievements in TV, with the hit HBO series picking up 8 awards, including Outstanding Special Visual Effects in A Season or A Movie; watch highlights from the awards shows January 13 on FXX.

This past Saturday and Sunday marked the Television Academy's annual Creative Arts Emmys, with the two evenings of celebrations honoring outstanding artistic and technical achievement in various television program genres, guest performances in weekly series, and exceptional work in animation, reality, and documentary categories.

FXX will broadcast edited highlights from the Creative Arts Emmys shows on Saturday, January 13, at 8:00 PM ET/PT. It will be available for streaming on Hulu on Sunday, January 14

A complete list of this year’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards winners, as compiled by the independent accounting firm of Ernst & Young LLP, can be found on the Emmy Awards website.

Among numerous other categories, Emmys were awarded in Animation and Visual Effects, with the popular HBO Max series, The Last of Us, garnering eight awards, and Fox’s The Simpsons “Treehouse of Horror XXXIII” honored as “Outstanding Animated Program.” In addition, Maya Rudolph was honored for her character voice-over work as Connie, the Hormone Monstress in Netflix’s Big Mouth “A Sexual Healing.”
