‘Joker’ VFX Supervisor Edwin Rivera Joins DNEG Los Angeles

Veteran visual effects and CG supervisor with 25+ years’ experience joins studio’s senior creative team.

LOS ANGELES Industry veteran Edwin Rivera has joined DNEG as a VFX supervisor in their Los Angeles Office. DNEG, a visual effects, animation and stereo conversion company, welcomes Rivera at a time that they are ramping up their creative team to optimize service to its feature film clients. Rivera’s arrival follows the recent appointment of Alex Cannon as head of previs at DNEG in Los Angeles.

Rivera, a highly respected supervisor, brings over 25 years of VFX experience. His most recent role was as overall VFX supervisor on Joker, Todd Phillips’ origin story for Gotham’s most infamous villain. Additional credits, as VFX supervisor, include SpiderMan: Homecoming, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, 22 Jump Street, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, Grown Ups 2, This is 40, Hot Tub Time Machine and Moneyball.
