The coveted Cristal Award and Gan Foundation winning animated feature that follows a well-meaning mother’s pursuit to feed her daughter a delicious meal has been sold in Japan, Benelux, China, Spain, India, Italy, U.S., Canada, and Taiwan.
Dual honor winner Chicken for Linda! (Linda veut du poulet!) will soon be seen around the world. Charades has sold the animated film into key territories.
Asmik Ace has acquired the film for Japan, where it will be shown at the Tokyo International Film Festival and the New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival. Charade also sold to other key territories, including Benelux (Le Parc), China (DDDream), Spain (La Aventura), airlines and India (Pictureworks), Italy (I Wonder Pictures), U.S. and Canada (GKids) and Taiwan (Proview).
The Chiara Malta and Sébastien Laudenbach’s hand-painted animated film won the coveted Cristal Award for best feature as well as the Gan Foundation award for distribution this summer at Annecy 2023.
The charming and brilliantly colored film follows well-meaning mother Paulette, who attempts to console her wrongly punished daughter Linda with a meal of chicken with peppers. Unfortunately, Paulette doesn’t know how to cook, and poultry is in short supply!
