Max Drops ‘Scavengers Reign’ Official Trailer and Art

The 2D adult animated sci-fi series follows the stranded crew of an interstellar freighter ship and their fight to survive; episodes 1-3 debut October 19 at midnight.

The official trailer and key art for Max’s new 2D adult animated sci-fi series, Scavengers Reign, was released earlier today. The show, created by animators, writers, and directors Joe Bennett and Charles Huettner, debuts with three episodes on Thursday, October 19 at midnight PT, followed by three episodes weekly through November 9.

In Scavengers Reign, the remaining crew of a damaged interstellar freighter ship find themselves stranded on a beautiful yet unforgiving alien planet – where they must survive long enough to escape or be rescued. But as the survivors struggle to locate their downed ship and missing crewmates, their new home reveals a hostile world allowed to thrive without human interference.

According to the series creators, the lush 2D animation offers “a unique view of the consequences of unchecked hubris and humanity’s eternal desire to conquer the unknown.”

The voice cast includes Wunmi Mosaku (Azi), Bob Stephenson (Sam), Sunita Mani (Ursula), Ted Travelstead (Kamen), and Alia Shawkat (Levi).

Benjy Brooke serves as supervising director, with Chris Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, Shannon Prynoski, and Ben Kalina serving as executive producers for Titmouse. The show is co-executive produced by Sean Buckelew and James Merrill for Green Street Pictures and produced by Titmouse. Bennett and Huettner also serve as executive producers.
