Toon Boom Authorized Training Center Opens in South Africa

Toon Boom Animation Inc. has appointed Little Black Dot Studios (LBD) as the Toon Boom Authorized Training Center for the SADEC Region, headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa. Following an intensive training in Toon Boom premises and at Nelvana early 2007, Harry Ravelomanantsoa, founder/director/lead instructor at LBD, gained invaluable experience learning Toon Booms software solutions and working in a prestigious studio environment.

Kim Possible Season Debuts on Toon Disney

The hit animated series KIM POSSIBLE debuts its 4th new season on Toon Disney, beginning Mar. 26, 2007, with a 90-minute marathon of three new episodes (6:30 -8:00 pm) following the season 3 feature film finale, SO THE DRAMA (5-6:30 pm).

New episodes of the series will air Mondays at 4:00 pm, beginning April 2 on Toon Disney.

Leading off every Saturday and Sunday afternoon is TOON DISNEY'S BIG MOVIE SHOW (12:00-2:00 pm, ET/PT), followed by five hours (2:00-7:00 pm, ET/PT) of programming showcasing popular series that are based on hit Disney animated feature films.

Toon Radio joins UpSNAP

The anime-soundtrack Internet radio station Toon Radio (www.toonradio.net) has joined the UpSNAP wireless streaming service.

UpSNAP, through its proprietary SWInG (Streaming Wireless Internet Gateway) platform, enables mobile access to virtually any type of live and on-demand streaming audio content including NASCAR In-Car Audio, ESPN Radio and more than 150 additional radio channels covering music, news and entertainment.

The UpSNAP service can be accessed through virtually every wireless carrier.

Anime In The Limelight Returns to Toon Radio

Anime in the Limelight (AitL), the anime radio show, along and its legendary host, Max returns from its long hiatus with new and classic episodes on Oct. 7, 2006,

Las Vegas-based Limelight Prods., the producers of the world-famous show that went off the air in 2004, will start making episodes sometime early in 2007. Until then, classic episodes will air in rotation, with news one inserted as they are ready. AitL will run in its old timeslot of 6:00 pm on Saturdays. No word yet on the status of the AitL archive service.

Disney Channel Will Be Home For Christmas

New holiday and Christmas themed episodes of Disney Channel's hit series for pre-schoolers, kids and tweens, are unwrapped throughout December while Toon Disney features a special Christmas movie every Friday and Saturday evening as part of its "Month of Merriment."

New Year's Eve is celebrated with Disney Channel's 8th annual viewer's choice programming event where viewers' votes determine the programming lineup for the last day of the year and the first day of 2006.

Robotboy Gets Assembled on Toon Boom Opus

Toon Boom Animation announced that its software will be use to complete Alphanims ROBOTBOY and an educational series from Sophia Hilton Foundation of Canada in collaboration with the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute and the Madras Craft Foundation.

Alphanim chose Toon Boom Opus for the production of ROBOTBOY, a series of 52 13-minute episodes. Co-produced with Cartoon Network Europe, France 3 and split among LuxAnimation (Luxemburg), Emation (Korea) and Monigotes (Spain), this traditional animation production is scheduled for primetime broadcast in the U.S.

CA Square Refresh Toon Disney Europe
