At Anime Expo 2023, Warner and WIT Studio revealed the all-new anime series - where DC’s Harley Quinn, the Joker, and The Suicide Squad descend onto the stage of ISEKAI.
Warner Bros. Japan revealed that Suicide Squad ISEKAI, an all-new original anime series based on the characters from DC, is now in production. The announcement was made at Anime Expo 2023 during a panel presented by Warner Bros. Japan and WIT Studio, the Japanese studio behind a number of anime series including SPY x FAMILY and Ranking of Kings.
The series will be directed by Eri Osada from screenplays by Tappei Nagatsuki (Re-Zero – Starting Life in Another World) and Eiji Umehara (Vivy - Fluorite Eye's Song). The announcement art features Harley Quinn in the ISEKAI style from manga artist Akira Amano (REBORN!).
In the series, DC’s Harley Quinn, the Joker, and The Suicide Squad descend onto the stage of ISEKAI (means “another world”) – where maddening worlds collide in an epic and violent fantasy.
