Warner Bros. Drops New Trailer for ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’

Anya Taylor-Joy stars as a young girl snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers into the hands of a great Biker Horde in the standalone action-adventure origin story of the fan-favorite eponymous one-armed heroine from ‘Mad Max: Fury Road;’ the film hits theaters nationwide May 24, 2024.

“They took it all from me… my childhood… my mother… I want that all back!” So says the eponymous, one-armed heroine from Mad Max: Fury Road in the new official trailer from her standalone action-adventure origin story, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.

Anya Taylor-Joy stars as the titular character alongside Chris Hemsworth, Alyla Browne, and Tom Burke, in George Miller’s newest post-apocalyptic epic, the much-anticipated return to the iconic dystopian world he created more than 30 years ago with the seminal Mad Max films.

In the new film, as the world fell, a young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus.  Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe.  While the two tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she tries to find her way home.

Miller penned the script with Fury Road co-writer Nico Lathouris. The team also includes longtime collaborators: production designer Colin Gibson, editor Margaret Sixel, sound mixer Ben Osmo, costume designer Jenny Beavan and makeup designer Lesley Vanderwalt, each of whom won an Oscar for their work on Fury Road.

The new feature from Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures is produced by Miller and his longtime partner Doug Mitchell (Mad Max: Fury Road, Babe), under their Australian-based Kennedy Miller Mitchell banner. The “furious” VFX were created by DNEG, Framestore, Rising Sun Pictures and slatevfx. Andrew Jackson serves as the production VFX supervisor, with Jason Bath serving as the production VFX producer.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga speeds into theaters nationwide on May 24, 2024 and internationally beginning on May 22, 2024.
