Studio 100 Strikes Distribution Deal for 'Molly Monster'

Studio 100 Media announces a deal with Molly & The Monsters GbR to sell the international TV rights to “Molly Monster.”

Cannes, France --

International children’s production and distribution company Studio 100 Media GmbH has struck a deal with Molly & The Monsters GbR to sell the international TV rights to the pre-school animation series Ted Sieger’s Molly Monster.

The deal announced by Patrick Elmendorff, Managing Director gives Studio 100 Media worldwide TV distribution rights over a five year period (excluding Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Scandinavia) for the 52 x 5’ series and for the animation special Molly and the Christmas Monster (26 minutes).  The deal also includes worldwide home entertainment and VoD rights excluding Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Sweden.

Created by Andrea and Ted Sieger and co-produced by Alexandra Schatz Filmproduktion, Little Monster GmbH, Trickstudio Lutterbeck GmbH and Sluggerfilm AB, Molly Monster is a fun, gentle and charming 2-D animated series aimed at three to six year olds.

Molly is a happy little monster who lives in Monsterland with her parents and her best friend Edison, a clockwork toy. Her parents and all the other monsters love her unconditionally. Molly is busy playing and finding out what it means to be a monster in this monster world. Her attitude isn’t entirely monster-like, but nobody really minds because they know she’ll grow out of it eventually, and if not it is just fine too. By watching her closely, we might learn a bit about ourselves, too.

Commenting on the agreement, Patrick Elmendorff, Managing Director of Studio 100 Media said, “Molly Monster is a fantastic show and we are delighted to be showcasing this adorable series and are confident that international broadcasters will love Molly as much as we do”.
