20th Century Fox is in talks to adapt Jesus Orellana's animated short film ROSA into a feature film, reports Heat Vision. Orellana, a comic book artist as well, will direct the live-action feature.

The story follows the cyborg Rosa who was originally sent to Earth to save all natural life from being wiped out. Following the total destruction of the environment, she reawakens and must fight to survive against another recently awoken entity.

Orellana produced the short on his home computer in Barcelona as a way to pitch his feature project. Posted in November, the short landed him representation and meetings with studios.

Genre Films' Simon Kinberg and I Am Ent.'s Scott Glassgold and Raymond Brothers will produce. A screenwriter is being sought.
