Platform Festival Announces Films In Competition

The Platform International Animation Festival has announced the films that have been selected for competition. The films cover categories for short films (including films in different budget ranges), student films, television films, television series for children, films for children, commercials and promos, title sequences, music videos and installations. The films for the Internet category and films for mobile device category will be announced April 23, 2007. The selection committee included Yvette Kaplan, Chris Hinton and Laura Heit.

The selections features a who's who list festivals favorites including: AT THE QUINTE HOTEL by Bruce Alcock, THE DANISH POET by Torill Kove, DREAMS AND DESIRES - FAMILY TIES by Joanna Quinn, EVERYTHING WILL BE OK by Don Hertzfeldt, GUY 101 by Ian Gouldstone, HERE AND THERE by Obom, JEU by Georges Schwizgebel, MILCH by Igor Kovalyov, NEVER LIKE THE FIRST TIME by Jonas Odell, ONE RAT SHORT by Alex Weil, PETER AND THE WOLF by Suzie Templeton, RABBIT by Run Wrake, THE RUNT by Andreas Hykade, TOWER BAWHER by Theodore Ushev, TRAGIC STORY WITH HAPPY ENDING by Regina Pessoa and WHO I AM AND WHAT I WANT by Chris Shepard and David Shrigley.
