Peacock Drops ‘Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate’ Trailer

DreamWorks' new animated kids’ film picks up after the events of the 2010 movie with the return of Megamind’s ‘The Doom Syndicate;’ the film and its all-new companion series, ‘Megamind Rules!’ premiere with all 8 episodes on March 1.

Peacock has shared a trailer and key images for its upcoming new animated kids’ film Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate, along with the announcement of its companion series Megamind Rules! From DreamWorks Animation, both properties star Adam Lambert, Chris Sullivan, Tony Hale, Keith Ferguson, Laura Post, Josh Brener, Maya Aoki Tuttle, and Jeanine Mason. The film and series (all 8 episodes) premiere March 1.

Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate picks up in the moments following the events of the 2010 film, where Megamind goes from being a supervillain and the scourge of Metro City to a superhero who’s learning on the job. More adventures follow in the companion series Megamind Rules!

The film follows the return of Megamind’s former villain team, The Doom Syndicate. Our newly crowned blue hero must now keep up evil appearances until he can assemble his friends (Roxanne, Ol’ Chum, and Keiko) to stop his former evil teammates from launching Metro City to the moon.

In the series, Megamind’s antics bring the audience along for the ride, as his trusty brainbots will be recording everything, making him the world's first superhero influencer.

The film and series are executive produced and written by Alan Schoolcraft and Brent Simons, writers of the original 2010 movie, alongside director Eric Fogel. JD Ryznar is co-executive producer.

In addition to Lambert, Sullivan, Ferguson, Post, Brener, Tuttle, and Mason, the movie also stars Emily Tunon, Talon Warburton, Scott Adsit, Chris Sullivan, Tony Hale, Jeanine Mason, Michael Beattie, Eric Fogel, Todd Haberkorn, Eric Murphy, Joey Rudman, and Roger Craig Smith.

Check out the trailer and note that Peacock says to watch the movie BEFORE tuning in to the series - both premiere March 1.
