Paramount’s ‘Transformers One’ Trailers Blast Off

The 3DCG animated feature starring Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, and Scarlett Johansson tells the origin story of Orion Pax and D-16’s path from brothers-in-arms to becoming sworn enemies, Optimus Prime and Megatron; coming to theaters September 2024.

Paramount Animation released 2 trailers (one included a special intro from the film’s stars), poster, and first-look image for its newest entry to the Transformers franchise, the 3DCG animated features Transformers One. The film boasts a star-studded voice cast, including Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm.

Transformers One comes to theaters September 20, 2024.

The official trailer launch kicked off at 6am PT with a live-streamed countdown showing a special craft’s journey into space. After one hour, the craft reached its peak at 125,000 feet above the Earth, revealing the trailer with a custom introduction video from stars Hemsworth and Henry. The two riffed on the in-space trailer debut before cutting to their animated characters. That full intro and space display was packaged into a second trailer. Both are below.

The movie tells the long-awaited origin story of how the most iconic characters in the Transformers universe, Orion Pax and D-16, went from brothers-in-arms to becoming sworn enemies, Optimus Prime and Megatron.

Transformers One is directed by Josh Cooley, with Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Tom DeSanto & Don Murphy, Michael Bay, Mark Vahradian, and Aaron Dem serving as producers. Executive producers include Steven Spielberg, Zev Foreman, Olivier Dumont, Brian Oliver, B.J. Farmer, and Matt Quigg.

The animation is handled by ILM, with the amazing Rob Coleman serving as animation supervisor and Frazier Churchill as VFX supervisor.

The film is presented by Paramount Animation and Hasbro in association with New Republic Pictures. It is a Don Murphy / Tom DeSanto Production, a di Bonaventura Pictures Production, and a Bay Films Production.

The Transformer’s franchise is based on Hasbro’s Transformers Action Figures.
