Veteran actress June Squibb (Toy Story 4, Solar Opposites, Ralph Breaks the Internet) has joined the voice cast of Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2 in an undisclosed role, according to Variety. Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, and Lewis Black return to the franchise as Joy, Sadness and Anger, while newcomers Tony Hale, Liza Lapira, and Maya Hawke play Fear, Disgust, and Anxiety. Kelsey Mann directs from a script by Meg LeFauve.
While Inside Out follows the journey of little girl Riley as she moves from the Midwest to San Francisco, the new film follows Riley in her teenage years as she encounters new emotions.
According to the studios, “Inside Out 2 returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone.”
