January Sees New Shows on TELETOON

TELETOON has a host of new programming to kick off 2006.

Three kids' shows ATOMIC BETTY, FOSTER'S HOME FOR IMAGINARY FRIENDS and THE GRIM ADVENTURES OF BILLY AND MANDY will debut new episodes.

Here are some of the stories viewers tuning in to these shows can expect on ...

On Jan 2, at 4:00 pm, ATOMIC BETTY will follow Betty as she finds her secret galactic-guardian bracelet, which means mayhem for the school. On Jan 3 at 4:00 pm, Penelope Lang is chosen as an evil queen (which isn't surprising to Betty, of course) by a swarm of bee creatures from space. On Jan 6 at 4:00 pm, a new soda pop takes the galaxy by storm, and anyone who drinks it turns into a drooling mutant.

New on FOSTER'S HOME FOR IMAGINARY FRIENDS, Eduardo runs away from home to prove he isn't a "scaredy-baby," but will the Extreme-O-Saurus Fighting Circuit send him running back? This episode premieres on Jan 4, at 6:00 pm. On Jan 8, at 9:00 am, Bloo gets a mean case of the hiccups just before the big Imaginary Friend Pageant. On Jan 11, at 6:00 pm, the friends go on a camping trip, but they struggle to survive in the wilderness after Bloo eats all their food.

New episodes of THE GRIM ADVENTURES OF BILLY AND MANDY will air at 8:30 pm, Thursdays and Fridays nights.

On Friday the 13th, TELETOON will air 6TEEN's Dude of the Living Dead at 6:30 pm, and the uncensored version of BEETLEJUICE the movie at 9:00 pm. On the 14th, TELETOON will host nine hours of "Januscary" programming. Between 12:00 noon and 9:00 pm, TELETOON is featuring shows normally reserved for the month of Halloween, including new episodes of THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERS as well as the BEETLEJUICE animated series and spooky Looney Tunes specials.

Surfers to teletoon.com between Dec. 23, and Jan. 10, will also get the chance to vote for the scariest SCOOBY-DOO movie ever. The winning movie will be featured on the night of the full moon, Saturday the 14th at 5:00 pm.

TELETOON will also premiere two new series SKYLAND and CLASS OF THE TITANS.

SKYLAND uses hand-drawn images, computer-generated elements and full motion-capture acting and was produced by Method Films and 9Story Ent. The show will debut on New Year's Eve at 7:30 pm. The series will settle into its regular timeslot of weekends at 7:30 pm on Jan. 29.

CLASS OF THE TITANS offers 21st century viewers a modern twist on an ancient theme Greek mythology. The show starts Dec. 31 at 7:00 pm, and will continue every Wednesday at 7:30 pm and weekends at 7:00 pm.
