‘Ferdinand’ Unveils Role for Manning, a Nick Jonas Tune and a New Trailer

Blue Sky Studio’s Dec. 15 release also adds Colombian musician Juanes to the cast.

Blue Sky Studios' 'Ferdinand' arrives in theaters Dec. 15.

20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios released a new trailer for the CG feature Ferdinand, and announced it will feature an original Nick Jonas song, “Home,” and the voices of former NFL star Peyton Manning and Colombian musician Juanes.

The studio also released new images from the movie.

Directed by Carlos Saldanha and due in theaters Dec. 15, Ferdinand tells the story of a giant bull with a big heart. After being mistaken for a dangerous beast, he is captured and torn from his home. Determined to return to his family, he rallies a misfit team on the ultimate adventure. Set in Spain, Ferdinand proves you can't judge a bull by its cover.

Manning plays Guapo the Bull, who acts like he's brimming with confidence but under that brash exterior, he's really a bundle of nerves.

John Cena voices the lead character in Blue Sky Studios’ ‘Ferdinand.’

Manning and Juanes join a cast top-lined by John Cena as Ferdinand, and also featuring Kate McKinnon, Gina Rodriguez, Daveed Diggs, Gabriel Iglesias, Bobby Cannavale, David Tennant, Anthony Anderson, Flula Borg, Sally Phillips, Boris Kodjoe, Jerrod Carmichael, Raul Esparza, Karla Martinez, and Miguel Angel Sylvester.
