Elk Studios Reveals New Branding and Team

The Ireland-based 2D company announces a €500k pipeline and infrastructure investment and key new hires, including new Head of Studio, 30+ year industry vet Brian Gilmore.

Irish 2D animation company Elk Studios has announced its rebranding as part of an overall update, which includes a €500k investment in its pipeline and infrastructure and key new hires and promotions to bolster its team.

Key hires include newly named head of studio, Brian Gilmore, a 30+ years industry vet who hails from Brown Bag and Boulder Media. In addition, Emmy-nominated director, writer, and artist Rob Cullen steps in as creative advisor on both service and studio IP projects. Maeve McAdam has been promoted to financial advisor, and LA-based veteran producer Lisa Furlong Jones has joined the team.

“We’ve been working internally on upgrading our studio to next-generation capability for our service clients and developing our own slate of projects, which we’re really excited to be bringing to market, starting at Kidscreen 2024,” said CEO Ian Hamilton, adding, “These are exciting times for elk with a major expansion of capability and a truly fantastic team now in place.” 

Elk Studios has worked with BBC Kids and Family, and RTÉjr, as well as providing key behind-the-scenes work to other Irish studios.
