Disney Honors Chadwick Boseman’s Birthday in Touching Tribute

In celebration of the late actor’s 44th birthday, the studio has replaced the Marvel opening on ‘Black Panther’ with a montage featuring his most memorable moments from the MCU films.

Wakanda is truly forever. In August we lost the incomparable Chadwick Boseman, who played T’Challa in Marvel’s groundbreaking MCU film Black Panther. He was just 43. In tribute to his Avengers franchise contributions, and in celebration of his 44th birthday, Disney has replaced the Black Panther Marvel opening with a montage featuring Boseman’s memorable moments from Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and finally, Avengers: Endgame. Watch the new opening sequence below:

The sequence is bittersweet to watch, but tastefully done, and gives us all a great excuse to view the film again in remembrance of a wonderful man. In the words of Boseman himself, "In my culture, death does not mean the end."

Watch Black Panther now on Disney+.
