Bethesda, MD, Dec. 19, 2011 – Pixeldust Studios, a multi-award winning digital animation and visual design studio, has brought Academy Award-nominated producer and business/marketing executive Dianna Costello onboard as its Executive Producer. Ricardo Andrade, President/Executive Creative Director for Pixeldust Studios made the announcement.
The addition of Costello will further extend Pixeldust Studios’ efforts to develop creative and business partnerships in the production of non-fiction entertainment for broadcast and cable TV networks, museums, corporations, government agencies and educational institutions. She will oversee marketing and development efforts and will work to expand Pixeldust’s core business of providing award-winning graphics packages, show opens, animations, and visual effects for a variety of broadcast television and cable network programs, television specials and series.
Mr. Andrade said, “The opportunity for us to work with Dianna is very exciting. In this new position, she’ll be able to combine her creative talents for project development with her many years of experience as a business development and marketing executive, tapping into her extensive film and television industry contacts. She is a major new asset to our company.”

ABOUT DIANNA COSTELLO:
A veteran of film and broadcast production, Costello spent the last six years as the Director of Business Development for yU+co., a motion graphics and visual design studio in Hollywood. Earlier, Costello served as the Director of Business Development-Post Production for the Atlanta’s largest telecommunications and digital post-production company, Crawford Communications. Prior to Crawford, Costello was the executive director of the Piedmont Triad Film Commission in North Carolina, during which time she recruited made-for-television movies and features films, including Spike Lee’s “He Got Game”.
Throughout her career, Costello has established relationships both nationally and internationally with executives at television networks and motion picture studios, and with filmmakers in both the fiction and nonfiction filmmaking worlds. Costello has served on the boards of several non-profit film organizations, including the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the International Documentary Organization (IDA), The Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival, and The Atlanta Ad Club.
Before moving to the Southeast, Costello worked in Los Angeles as a freelance producer and production manager for films, television programs and commercials. She won numerous national and international awards, including an Academy Award nomination in 1986 for her short fiction film “Graffiti.” She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Film from The American Film Institute, a Master of Science in Television/Radio from Syracuse University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Massachusetts.
