Deleted Scene Drops for ‘Prey’ in Celebration of Physical Release

The 6-time Emmy nominated entry in the ‘Predator’ franchise has arrived on 4K UHD, Blur-ray and DVD, with over 2 hours of bonus content, including deleted scenes with commentary by director Dan Trachtenberg; film’s VFX handled by MPC.

The chilling prequel to the critically acclaimed Predator films, 20th Century Studios’ Prey, arrived on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on October 3. In celebration of the release, a deleted prevised scene has been dropped, previously only available on physical copies of the film.

Nominated for six Emmys, including Outstanding Television Movie, the science-fiction film welcomes new viewers into the Predator story while entertaining long-time fans of the celebrated franchise. All formats include a full-length Comanche audio track and never-before-seen bonus content.

Set in 1719 on the Great Plains with a band of Comanches, Prey follows Naru, a fierce and highly skilled young warrior who sets out to protect her people. However, the prey she stalks turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator —leading to a vicious and terrifying showdown.

Dan Trachtenberg directs from a script by Patrick Aison. Lawrence Gordon, Ben Rosenblatt, Mary Kathryn Nagle, Tyson Breuer, James E. Thomas, John C. Thomas, and Marc Toberoff executive produce, while John Davis, Jhane Myers, and Marty P. Ewing produce. The pulse pounding VFX were created by MPC, with Chris Uyede acting as VFX supervisor.
