Calling All ‘Toons! Cartoons on the Bay to be Held April 6-8 in Turin, Italy

Deadline for registration for International cross-media animation and children’s television festival featuring three days of screenings, workshops and competitions is March 10.

The deadline for submissions to Italy’s long-running international cross-media animation and children’s television festival, Cartoon on the Bay, is rapidly approaching. Featuring three days of screenings, workshops and competitions, the 21st edition of Cartoons on the Bay will be held in Turin, Italy April 6-8, 2017.

Founded in 1996 as a showcase for Italian animation, Cartoons on the Bay has since become an important international event for the animation industry. Organized by RAI Publishing, the festival’s purpose is to promote the activities of writers and producers from around the world, providing an opportunity to meet with buyers, distributors and television producers. This year, festival organizers have announced a new competition category for animated features at the prestigious Pulcinella Awards. Other categories for submissions to the festival include TV Series for Preschool, TV Series for Kids, TV Series for Teens, Hybrid TV Series, Educational and Social Issues Work, TV Pilots, Advertising and Promotional Work, Interactive Animation, and Short Films.
