Brickyard Delivers VFX for 'Gravity'

Brickyard VFX provides color correction and effects for the short film Gravity, which premieres August 18 at the HollyShorts Film Festival.

Santa Monica, CABrickyard VFX completed visual effects for short film Gravity, premiering at the HollyShorts Film Festival (HSFF) in Los Angeles. HSFF showcases top short films (30 minutes or less) from around the world in various genres and technical categories including 3D, animation, VFX, cinematography and more. Gravity will screen in the VFX Shorts category, Saturday August 18 at 7:00 PM.

Directed by Chad Jackson and co-produced by longtime Brickyard VFX producer Linda Jackson, Gravity focuses on a poignant late night phone conversation between partners Jill and John. The short includes ethereal views of the earth and outer space as the pair’s conversation progresses. The Jacksons tapped Brickyard VFX to complete several key CG VFX shots as well as color correction, credits, and other beauty work. Brickyard’s Head of CG David Blumenfeld completed the VFX shots of the earth and outer space using Autodesk Maya, and Brickyard’s Lead Flame Artist Chris Sonia completed color correction in Autodesk Lustre.
