Apple TV+ Shares ‘The Velveteen Rabbit’ Trailer

Based on the famed children’s book by Margery Williams, the live-action animated hybrid tells the story of a child who, with his new favorite toy, discovers lifelong friendship and a world of magic; the family holiday series streams November 22.

Apple TV+ has shared a trailer and images for its upcoming November 22 global streaming debut of the Apple Original special The Velveteen Rabbit, based on the classic children’s book by Margery Williams. Produced by Magic Light Pictures, the 40-minute special mixes live-action and animation to capture a child’s imagination, leaning into the timeless classic in an all-new way.

The special tells the story of seven-year-old William, who receives a new favorite toy for Christmas and discovers a lifelong friend, unlocking a world of magic.

Magic Light Pictures co-founder Martin Pope produces (Academy Award nominee The Gruffalo and BAFTA & International Emmy winning Revolting Rhymes) with a screenplay by Tom Bidwell, creator of the BAFTA- and International Emmy-nominated My Mad Fat Diary and the Oscar-nominated short Wish 143.
