‘Ahsoka’ Season 2 Officially in Development

The ‘Star Wars’ series that follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to the galaxy will return under the guidance of creator Dave Filoni; Season 1 streams now on Disney+.

Fan favorite series Star Wars: Ahsoka will return for a second season under creator Dave Filoni, Lucasfilm announced during the surprise reveal of The Mandalorian & Grogu film.

The Mandalorian & Grogu will lead Lucasfilm’s ongoing feature-development slate, including films helmed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, James Mangold, and Dave Filoni, who is also currently developing Ahsoka Season 2, among those in the works,” the announcement said.

Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

Rosario Dawson, who reprises her The Mandalorian role as Ahsoka Tano, is joined by Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren; Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla; Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati; Wes Chatham as Captain Enoch; Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker; Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll; David Tennant as Huyang; Temeura Morrison as Captain Rex; and Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Season 1 episodes were directed by Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel and Rick Famuyiwa. Filoni serves as head writer and executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist serves as co-executive producer.

VFX studios on the first season include Digital Domain; Ghost VFX; Image Engine; ILM; Luma Pictures, SSVFX; Stagecraft; and The Third Floor.

Lucasfilm's Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 1 streams exclusively on Disney+.
