Envoy Film Festival 2004

The Envoy Film Festival highlights films and that demonstrate a Judeo Christian worldview. Categories include feature, documentary, animation and comedy, all with short and long formats. Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles celebrates the best work being done in Bollywood. The event features screenings and seminars. A Saturday matinee will feature three animated shorts, SANGRAM, HOLLY BOLLY and COSMOPOLITAN. A Q&A session will be held after the screening of the first and last film. KFJS Psychotronix Film Festival will include classic cartoons, music shorts, "trailers from cheesy B-films," 50s TV commercials and a Japanese monster movie featuring "guys in stupid looking monster suits." This event is a benefit for the campus radio station at Foothill College. It will take place at 7:00 pm in Room F2.

42nd Ann Arbor Film Festival

The Ann Arbor Film Festival is a non-profit arts organization that has along-standing tradition of showcasing all genres of independent experimental film. Its mission is to provide a worldwide public forum for independent and experimental moving image exhibitions, to encourage and showcase artists of the moving image, to promote the moving image as art and to offer educational outreach. The week after the festival the festival will host a traveling tour of colleges, museums and theaters across the U.S. A total of $18,000 in cash prizes will be awarded by jurors in 22 categories.

The first Bay Area Muslim Film Festival is an annual event that screens films by or about Muslims. The world has become increasingly interested in understanding the diverse Muslim culture and society. The MFF seeks to help portray Muslim artists and their view, providing Muslims with a venue to share their work about themselves and their diverse traditions. Muslim Film Festival will offer an audience award and hold a filmmakers social hour network gathering at the festival. MFF hopes to enhance the film industry by providing a focused event for films about and by Muslims.

Established in 1992, The Pan African Film Festival (PAFF) is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the promotion of cultural and racial tolerance and understanding through the exhibition of film, art and creative expression. PAFF's goal is to present and showcase the broad spectrum of black creative works, particularly those that reinforce positive images and help to destroy negative stereotypes. This year's event will feature Michel Ocelot's French animated feature KIRIKOU AND THE SORCERESS on Feb. 14 at 10:00 am.
