Animation Dance Association Championships

Begins: October 7, 2009

Now for the first time in the history of animation ADA creates a professional league among animators, similar to those of NFL, NBA, and MLB.

ADA divided the planet into four divisions and each division will consist of 30 professional teams.

In order to select the best teams there will be held a 16-week Championship starting on October 7. The main prize is $100,000 but every week you will also have a chance to win $10,000.

Absolutely anybody who created an animated clip and uploaded it to www.adasport.com can take part in the Championship.

Anime Festival Orlando is excited to announce the exciting conclusion of "The Swords of Orlandia". "Swords of Orlandia" is the story behind AFO's Interactive Convention Experience. The talented writing staff has crafted an original story/game in which attendees can voluntarily participate all weekend long. Cartoon Challenge At KAFI

Is your school ready for the challenge? The Cartoon Challenge at KAFI (Kalamazoo Animation Festival International) 2009 is open for team submissions from September 1, 2008 to January 16, 2009. Ten teams of animations students from colleges and art schools across the continent will spend four intense days and nights on the campus of Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Their mission is to create an original 30-second PSA on a topic chosen by the event's sponsor.

TAC.tv Animation Contest - Take Three

The contest is open to all forms of animation, from traditional techniques like hand-drawing to cutting-edge digital methods. 2D, 3D, rotoscoping, stop-motion and flip book. The winning animated film will get $2,500, be featured on TAC.tv and have the chance for broadcast on Super Channel.

The past two contests have yielded some amazing animation: Elohim Sanchez was awarded $2,500 for his film, L'INTERPRETATION DES REVES OU LES AVENTURES DU ROBOT BLEU and most recently, David Wesch of Vancouver won first prize for his short, BLIND DATE.

Aubagne International Film Festival 2009

For features, the event screens first and second films of any genre that feature original music.
