The free virtual event will celebrate ‘Diversity in Animation;’ the conference will begin on April 21, with the film festival starting April 15 – films will be available on demand after they are aired.

The 2021 edition of the KingstOOn Animation and Film Festival will be held online April 21-25. This year’s theme focuses on diversity in animation. Already a hub for Afrocentric content, the event will extend its reach in 2021 and explore other areas of diversity such as gender and inclusivity.

The event has historically attracted top talent from across the animation world, such as Walt Disney’s development veteran, Jeff Brustrom, and Bento Box (Bob’s Burgers) co-founder, Joel Kuwahara. 2021 promises to be no exception.
