ASIFA-Hollywood will be hosting a special screening for its members of The Weintein Company release, HOODWINKED, which was directed by Cory Edwards and co-directed by Todd Edwards and Tony Leech.
In the re-telling of this classic fable, the story begins at the end. Chief Grizzly and Detective Bill Stork investigate a domestic disturbance at Granny's cottage, involving a karate-kicking Red Riding Hood, a sarcastic wolf and an oafish Woodsman. The charges are many: breaking and entering, intent to eat, wielding an axe without a license, but these unusual suspects have their story to tell first.
Starring the voices of Glenn Close, Anne Hathaway, Jim Belushi and Patrick Warburton, this CGI spoof is the first release of the newly formed Weinstein Company (run by the former heads of Miramax Pictures).
