The international animation festival, running October 3-6, brings together academics, art and culture in a unique event devoted to animation in its artistic and technological dimensions.
ANIMA – Córdoba International Animation Festival is both an academic and cultural event, devoted specifically to animation in its artistic and technological dimensions. It originated in 2001 as a biennial event, and since 2021 has become an annual event. ANIMA is the main animation event in Argentina and an influential player in Latin America.
The festival provides an opportunity for animators, live action filmmakers, designers, producers, visual and audiovisual artists to gather for three days of panels, seminars, exhibitions, screenings, and social networking opportunities.
ANIMA is jointly organized by the Centro Experimental de Animación (CEAn) of the Film and TV Dept, Faculty of Arts, Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (Argentina); the Secretaría de Extensión Universitaria of the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba; the Animation Chair of the Lic. in Audiovisual Design, IAPCH, Universidad Nacional de Villa María; and the Secretary of Culture of the City of Córdoba.
