New program gives kids a chance to make a difference while learning important social-emotional lessons; by watching ‘Gabby’s’ challenge videos kids bank kitty hearts in support of UNICEF’s work and help target the animation studio’s $400K donation.

The Film London initiative supports animators early in their careers with mentoring and development support, including £2,500 seed money to fund their work.

Initiative aims to reach BIPOC and underrepresented emerging professionals and provide an opportunity to develop original content, from pitch to production, with mentorship and support from Nickelodeon development teams; submission deadline is September 30.

New members appointed to 3-year terms, an international community of storied animation professionals, include Deanna Morse (U.S.) as president, Thomas Renoldner (Austria) as Secretary General, Anatasia Dimitra (Hellas) as vice president, Johnchill Lee (China) as vice president, and Stefan Stratil (Austria) as Treasurer.

The Vancouver Film School has earmarked up to $162,000 in scholarships to support indigenous students looking to enroll in select creative arts programs in production; the application deadline is July 20.
