The CEE Animation Forum has announced its 12th edition, the leading pitching, financing, and co-production event for animated projects. Animators, directors and industry professionals have until April 30, 2024, to submit their works.
The CEE Animation Forum has announced its 12th edition, the leading pitching, financing, and co-production event for animated projects. Animators, directors and industry professionals have until April 30, 2024, to submit their works.
Submissions are open to European animated projects in development in 4 categories:
- Feature Films (minimum length of 60 minutes; in concept, in development or in production),
- Series and TV Specials (web and TV series of any format and single films, minimum length of 20 minutes; all stages of development except for concept stage),
- Short Films (maximum length of 20 minutes; all stages of development except for concept stage),
- Rising Stars (student short films, maximum length of 20 minutes; all stages of development except for concept stage).
An animated project is a project in which at least 50% of the film under consideration is executed using animation film technology or takes the form of multimedia audio-visual work with emphasis on the graphical aspect.
Project Selection
Projects will be assessed by a committee made up of international experts and Organizers staff. The committee will take into consideration creative idea, originality of the story, design and visual style, producers’ background and projects’ prospective and coproduction potential. The lists of projects selected to attend the CEE Animation Forum 2024 will be announced no later than 30 June, 2024 at ceeanimation.eu.
The two-day event is set to take place from November 12-13, 2024, in Pilsen, Czech Republic.
Every year, almost 200 film professionals are invited to witness the pitching competition between the most promising European animation projects.
The main part of the programme is the traditional pitching competition, which is open to European animated projects currently in development or in production. Submissions are accepted in the four categories, with specific guidelines for each category’s length and development stage.
The CEE Animation Forum is a platform intended to showcase European talent and creative works. It helps professionals find co-production partners, financing, and distribution for their projects and build lasting networks of producers, creatives, and international decision-makers from all fields. The CEEA Forum greatly emphasizes networking in the form of 1:1 meetings.
CEE Animation Forum is financially supported by the Czech Film Fund, the Audiovisual Producers´ Association and the Ministry of Culture Czech Republic.
