Annecy 2020 Now Open for Film and Project Submissions

Festival celebrates its 60th anniversary June 15-20, 2020; films and animation projects across multiple categories can now be entered for selection.  

Organizers of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival have announced that the 60th anniversary edition, which runs June 15-20, 2020, is now open for film and animation project submissions.

Film submissions must be received by February 15, 2020 for the following categories:

  • Short Films
  • TV Films
  • Commissioned Films
  • Graduation Films

Submissions must be received by March 15, 2020 for the Feature Films category and April 6, 202 for VR projects.

A number of animation film projects will be selected to participate in the Mifa Pitches 2020, where they can potentially find partners and financial investors.

Animation project submissions must be received by February 5, 2020 for the following categories:

  • Short Films
  • Feature Films
  • TV Series and Specials
  • Digital Experiences
  • Animation du Monde (this category is open to all formats, but reserved to territories where the animation industry is just emerging – see the list of eligible countries in the regulations)

Please note: Web series projects can compete in the TV Series and Specials category.
