‘Fast & Furious 9’ writer Daniel Casey will executive produce and pen the script for the first adaptation of the fan-favorite sci-fi video game.

The UK animation festival, which brings together the animation industry's top talent, leading professionals, and a program with fans of animation in mind, runs November 10-14.

The ‘IT’ prequel, from Warner Bros. Television and filmmakers Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs, debuts in 2025 on HBO, and will stream on Max. 

All 13 episodes of Toei Animation's original series, which follows high school dropout Nina Iseri as she moves to Tokyo and starts a band, will be released on November 6.

Announced during SOFA 2024, the new projects, including ‘Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun’ Season 2, ‘The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You’ Season 2, ‘Headhunted to Another World: From Salaryman to Big Four!,’ and ‘Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms,’ will hit the streaming platform January 2025.

According to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, beginning January 1, the tax incentive will attract a net rebate of 29.25%; claims for the rebate can be made from April 1.

The series builds on the recently launched Web3 video game ‘Space Nation Online’ and animated shorts featuring the game character Zoey, which were executive-produced by Emmerich and Marco Weber, with creative direction by Martin Weisz.

The group includes 16 artists and leads who unanimously supported unionization with IATSE; the workers, ‘look forward to celebrating Season 50 by joining in SNL's decades-long tradition of supporting union labor, and to helping negotiate a contract that reflects the substantial value we add.’

The proposed sale, subject to approval from the Commercial Court of Paris on October 30, follows the French animation studio's September announcement of insolvency, attributed to market challenges in the animation industry over the past two years.
