Miyake Design Studio’s Yoshiyuki Miyamae, Sony Group’s Hiraoki Kitano, and WIA VP, Oscar-nominated producer Jinko Gotoh will each offer their unique insights into ground-breaking areas in computer graphics and interactive techniques; conference runs December 3-6 in Tokyo, Japan.
SIGGRAPH Asia has revealed new Keynote Speakers for the upcoming conference, each offering insights into ground-breaking areas in the field of computer graphics and interactive techniques.
Yoshiyuki Miyamae, Design Director, Designer, A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE, joined the Miyake Design Studio in 2001 and worked as a member of the original team that started A-POC, which was led by Issey Miyake and Dai Fujiwara. He was the designer of ISSEY MIYAKE from 2011–19, and launched TADANORI YOKOO ISSEY MIYAKE in the autumn of 2020. For A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE, he leads a team of experts to engage in research and development.
Hiroaki Kitano, Executive Deputy President and CTO, Sony Group Corporation, oversees the R&D ecosystem across Sony`s diverse business domains including electronics, semiconductors, and entertainment. He concurrently serves as Representative Director and President, Sony Research Inc. and Sony Computer Science Laboratories, Inc. (Sony CSL). As an AI expert, Kitano also serves as a member of the UN AI Advisory Body, the OECD Expert Group on AI Futures, Singapore’s Advisory Council on the Ethical Use of AI and Data, the UK’s expert advisory panel for the International Scientific report on Advanced AI Safety, and Japan’s AI Strategy Council.
Jinko Gotoh, Oscar-nominated Producer and Vice President, Women in Animation, is a BAFTA winner and an Oscar-nominated producer and consultant for the animation industry. Her extensive producing screen credits include 2020 BAFTA winner and Oscar-nominated Klaus, The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, BAFTA winner The Little Prince, Oscar-nominated The Illusionist, 9, and Oscar-winning Finding Nemo. She is a frequent speaker at various conferences and festivals and has served as a juror for many film festivals, including Annecy Animation Festival, SIGGRAPH, Chicago International Film Festival, Goa International Film Festival, and most recently, at the inaugural Niigata International Animation Film Festival.
SIGGRAPH Asia 2024 runs in Tokyo from December 3-6.
